My name is Melody South, and though you haven’t heard of me yet, you’re going to. I’m a sophomore at New York University, and I’m majoring in musical theatre. I can look at you right now and guarantee that one day soon, you’re going to know my name. Everyone will. Trust me.
So, a little more about me: acting has been my passion since I was six years old and I starred as young Cosette in my school’s performance of Les Miserables. Since then, I have done multiple shows every year. If you live in the Oxford, Alabama area, you’ve probably seen me, though not under this name. I hate my given name, and I’m not going to share it. I ditched Oxford as fast as I could and came to NYC, where I met my girlfriend Chandler, my best friend Jocelyn, and of course, as all good actors have, my rival Mya. More on that later. When I’m not auditioning for hit Broadway shows such as Mean Girls and Dear Evan Hansen, I babysit two adorable little children: Autumn and Saige Miller. They’re angels, I tell you.
Follow along as I navigate love, life, and dreams in the Big Apple. Trust me, it won’t be boring.
